Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM)

ACFM provides depth information of cracks up to one inch deep, and may be used on coated surfaces. Team’s ACFM testing equipment establishes a locally uniform current in the test object and measures the magnetic flux density above the surface. Discontinuities cause changes in the current, and thus, the magnetic field.
