A California plant asked Team to design and install a blowout port on a 12" x 26" coke duct.
The duct was made out of thin sheet metal and was plugged with coke, not allowing air flow for blowout.
Because of the time element, a plate for packing special Team sealants around the duct was fabricated at the plant under the guidance of Team personnel.
The plate was designed with strong backs, a milled groove for packing the sealants, and a flanged valve.
Team personnel installed the assembly, and the plant hot tapped through the valve into the duct.
The plant was able to blow out the duct, leaving the fixture for future use.
