Swivel-chained, all metal valve safety plugs with fluid chambers prevent blowdowns, allow safe checks for valve or system leakage, and insure facility compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stop worrying about blowdowns, possible injury, VOC emissions, regulatory headaches or lost plugs when backing off valve plugs to check for system leakage.
Fully threaded, Team's hex plugs, round plugs, bull plugs, and plugs manufactured for special processes:
- Insure compliance with regulations requiring open-ended valves or lines be equipped with a plug, cap, blind flange, or second valve
- Are anchored to a swivel mounted stainless steel chain
- Provide fluid-tight seals in corrosive and special process environments
- Help inhibit rust damage to a valve's internal components
- Are manufactured with a pressure relief channel to test for system leakage
- Provide a safer work place for employees
- Were hydro-tested in pressures to 6,000 psi by an independent testing laboratory during their design phase
- Are manufactured to ANSI B16.11 Standards and ASTM material specifications
Reinsertion of Team's Valve Safety Plugs helps inhibit rust damage to the internal components of the valve, and insures facility compliance with regulatory requirements.
Unlike conventional or O-ring plugs, Team's plugs do not have to be almost totally unscrewed to check for leakage.
A specially machined fluid expansion-pressure relief channel in Team's plugs helps avoid potential ejections by allowing you to safely back the plug off just enough to explore the channel and check for leakage.
Ample thread contact between Team's plug and the valve always is maintained when checking for leakage, which can be determined:
- Visually,
- Audibly, or by
- Detection device.
Special straight channel machining on Team's plug prevents rust, grit, sludge, precipitate matter or sand blasting residue suspended in the fluid from clogging the channel.
In other plugs, fluid channels bend or are often curved, allowing solid particulate matter in the process to clog or jam the checking channel, thus making it impossible to check for leakage without removing the plug.
Additionally, Team's all-metal, fully threaded plugs are not susceptible to deterioration or wear that plugs with O-ring construction experience in corrosive, caustic, and high temperature environments.
Team's valve plugs and pipe caps come in sizes ranging from 1/4" to 3" diameter and are available in carbon and stainless steels as well as special alloys. All Carbon steel products come standard with a cadmium plating. Chain length and thickness vary depending on the size and type of product ordered.
Chains also are available for flange face applications.
